Identification of species

E.g. Pipe cleaner mold and stick mold

The aim is also to identify the species that have grown on the growth media over the years. Identification is done with the help of a mycologist and a few species are identified through DNA profiling.

Trichoderma, Neurospora, Chrysonil, and Penicillium genus of ascomycetous fungi.
