Orange powder molds in Mänttä Art Festival

This orange fellow is called Neurospora and Chrysonilia. Or Chrysonilia sitophila which is both species with different stage. The identification of this species came from microbiologists through Instagram. Have to study this more.

Within my limited knowledge of mold biology the orange one is Neurospora and Chrysonilia is the white spiderweb-like mold. Hopefully they are not dangerous as they are very hard to get ride of. This was the first encounter with this mold and I think this made a great extra layer on the exhibition. As they did not distroy the image and grew as frames on the petridishes and also it protected the yeast image quite well from other species.
