Making of Vellamo -exhibition

Yeastograms lab in Kotka

Construction of the exhibition began in mid-August. Many photographs and supplies came from Mänttä Art Festival, which closed its doors on 1.9.2019

Now the Living Images Research Center is open in the Kymenlaakso Museum, Maritime Centre Vellamo and it is on until 1.12.2019.

Next exposure session is  starting on 23rd of September. There is a session with public on Sunday 29.9.  in the afternoon (1-3pm).

These windows has not been open since the building has been opened.

I wanted the window open because I think the best light for the living images is natural light.

The lab has a window to peak in. Also there is a video showing the process.

The procedure starts with boiling the growth mediums.
